Thoughts on the deck:

Switching out Titanic Growth for Groundswell
Switch out Gigantic Growth and adding Invigorate (Invigorate is bannded in pauper)
Take out 1 Spider Umbra, 1 Kitesail, and 2 Vulshok Morning Star and replace with 4 Rancor.

***** Glistener Elf - Essential for My Poison Legacy Deck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential for My Poison Legacy Deck.
This review is from: Magic: the Gathering - Glistener Elf - New Phyrexia
The main reason why I love this card is that I can play it on turn one. That means by turn 2 or turn 3 I am thinking about taking my opponent out of the game. I don't recommend a 2nd turn kill because it puts all of your might into one blast, and if that is countered by your 3rd or 4th turn your attack may not be sufficient to win the game. However, if you want to clean up your opponent quick, which is the best idea in Legacy, this card is essential.

The conversion for this card if you are playing an infect deck is that you may take 2 damage in order to play it. For adding 2 poison counters in return for playing this card is nothing, provided that you already have a card like Distortion Strike, Rancor, Plague Stinger (that you are flying over your opponent), or especially Blighted Agent.

This card just isn't a winner. Giant Growth is one to consider that is much better. With Giant Growth, you pay 1G and get +3/+3. Consider Giant Growth for an Infect deck, but with Titanic Growth for an entire extra mana, you don't get much more out of it. That makes this card one that does not deserve much attention.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Really Good Card, Especially in Commander.January 19, 2013

There are so many times having an Elf that taps for one mana and costs one mana is useful. This card is a force to be reckoned with because it really isn't worth countering, and yet it works well in so many combination plays. Llanowar Elves was one of the first cards I had in my possession and it is still one of my favorites. If you are playing Commander, other cards to consider that are like this one are Boreal Druid, and Fyndhorn Elves.

In my opinion, most huge cards aren't idyllic. There are better cards to consider than this one if you are considering a combo play with Elvish Piper. If you are looking for a card that can destroy, then I think playing one that costs few or 1 mana and has deathtouch is an ideal replacement for this one.
