***** Khalni Hydra - If you have plenty of small creatures, then cast this card and slam your opponent

For every green creature you have, this card costs 1 mana less to cast.  I play this in my 2nd Legacy mono green deck.  It works great with small mana boosters like Llanowar Elves, where you can use that card to subtract 2 from this cards cost.  This card is slamming, and I think it will work best in your deck if you are able to play it for less than 6 mana, ideally 4 or 5 mana if you got your game on early and are closing in on a win.

2nd Legacy Deck: Mono Green 2.2

This deck is not nearly as competitive as my Legacy Infect deck, but it is still a very good deck.

Creatures

2 Khalni Hydra (new in version 2.0)
4 Dungrove Elder*
4 Llanowar Elves*
4 Sylvan Ranger (This card makes my deck as if I had 22 forests)*
4 Timbermaw Larva*
3 Ambush Viper instead of 1 Ambush Viper (1.0 had only 1 of this card)
2 Elvish Herder*
2 Arbor Elf*
1 Joraga Treespeaker*

Instants

4 Vines of Vastwood*
4 Primal Bellow*

Sorcery

2 Cultivate* (both Cultivate and Kodama’s reach would work well in a side board)
2 Kodama’s Reach (version 1.0 had 1 Kodama’s Reach)  (Cultivate and Kodama’s Reach make it as is I have more than 18 forests, which is good especially with Sylvan Ranger)

Enchantment

4 Gigantiform*

18 Forests

*Denotes that the card(s) were in version 1.0

Side board (newly added to version 2.0, 2.1, 2.2):

2 Gigantomancer
4 Deadly Recluse
4 Naturalize
1 Ambush Viper
2 Might of Oaks
2 Bladed Pinions

This deck is a continuation of the following deck:

Just in case you were wondering how version 1.0 is different from version 2.2; partly it is different because the following cards have been removed:
2 Deadly Recluse** (nixed)
1 Fyndhorn Elder** (nixed)
1 Boreal Druid** (nixed)
1 Naturalize** (nixed)
**Denotes that the card(s) were nixed from version 1.0

**** Naturalize - Count On This Card To Get Your Mono Green Deck Out Of Dutch

Naturalize has long been a mono green players favorite turn to card.  Sometimes there is an enchantment or artifact that blocks the way, and that is where naturalize comes in.  That is, do not play this card unless it is absolutely necessary, as there are situations where this card is practically the only way of salvation.

**** Primal Bellow - I love laying down this card along with a Big Gun of a Trampler

Primal Bellow is almost pointless without a big gun trampler, that is at least power 6 before Primal Bellow.  What you need to play this card is a deck that is full of forests, and it need not be forests themselves, but it can be cards that make you search for forests, such as Sylvan Ranger, Kodama's Reach, and/or Cultivate.

***** Vines of Vastwood - One of the Most Powerful Booster Cards

This card is most likely key or close to being key for many Legacy decks that rely on boosting cards.  Playing mono green, or even a two color infect deck?  Then, this card comes with my highest recommendation.  However, don't play it unless you can kick it.

*** Fyndhorn Elder - Not Quite As Good As Joraga Treespeaker in Legacy Format, But Great For Commander

As the title says, this card is not dated if you are playing Commander format, as it is great with Elf and mana acceleration combos.  However, if you are playing Legacy, I would recommend Joraga Treespeaker for Elf and mana combos.  Joraga Treespeaker offers more options, than Fyndhorn Elder, such as being able to be played for a single mana on the first turn and leveled up by turn 2.

**** Elvish Herder - Got Trample?

Green creatures often have trample, but if you are playing a deck where you could use a well's worth of low cost trample, then look no further.  Elvish Herder is the card to look for.  Cards that Elvish Herder work especially well with are Omnath, Dungrove Elder, and Timbermaw Larva.  Also, this card plays the innocuous role.  Boost it with  Gigantiform, Gigantomancer, trample, and all that good stuff.  Coming from nowhere you can slam your opponent from the top rope!
Also, it is an Elf, so don't forget that you can include this one in oodles of Elf combos.

Discussion:
When I first started this deck, I am not sure if it was because the competition was not as good, but however, this deck in comparison to its earlier incarnations relies a lot on cards that have fairly low casting costs for a green Commander Deck.  The most expensive creature car cast cost is Eldrazi Conscription, clocking in at 8 mana.  I have gotten rid of several cards that require 8 mana or more, such as Gigantomancer, and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, and Terastodon.  Depending on how play goes I may bring one or 2 back, but however there once was a time where I was hoping to play cards like It That Betray's and that like most of the others are not coming back at least for no other reason than that it was stolen out of my house.  Likewise, I have also gotten rid of the Elvish Piper because I have no use for it now that I have trimmed my deck down to size, meaning that it no longer has creatures so huge and fat.  Go figure, because when my weight went up, the size of my creatures came down.

The Best Colorless Mana Accelerator I Know Of

I have had Palladium Myr in my Commander deck going back to when I first pulled one from a pack.  At the time, I had been working on my Silvos, Rogue Elemental deck (back when it used to be called EDH and not Commander format), and mana acceleration was on my mind.  There are few cards that can match offering 2 colorless or even colored mana for a casting cost of 3 mana.  I have this one in my deck along with Greenweaver Druid, with cast cost 2 colorless and a G, and it returns 2 green mana.   Fyndhorn Elder is also essentially identical to Greenweaver Druid, and thus like Palladium Myr.  The only detraction I see for Palladium Myr from the vantage point of my Commander, Silvos, Rogue Elemental is that he isn't an Elf, and thus Palladium Myr doesn't really fit with another 5 star card like Priest of Titania.
